2020 Mazda CX-30 vs. 2020 Lexus UX | Mission, TX
The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is a leading model in the small SUV segment, thanks to its efficient engine, spacious interior, leading tech and low price. In fact, the Mazda CX-30 performs exceptionally well even when up against luxury vehicles in the small SUV segment. When you pit the 2020 Mazda CX-30 up against the luxurious 2020 Lexus UX, for example, the Mazda CX-30 still emerges as the clear winner. Here’s why:
You would expect more power from a luxury SUV, but that isn’t the case when the 2020 Mazda CX-30 is involved. The SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the Mazda CX-30 cranks out 186 horsepower, as well as 186 lb-ft of torque. That’s significantly more than you’ll get from the standard engine of the Lexus UX, which manages just 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque.
Despite being more powerful, the 2020 Mazda CX-30 is priced dramatically lower than the 2020 Lexus UX.* In fact, you’ll spend approximately $10,000 less on the base model of the Mazda CX-30 than you would for the base model of the Lexus UX.
If interior space is important when considering your new SUV, you’ll want to go with the Mazda CX-30. While both the Mazda CX-30 and the Lexus UX can seat up to five passengers, the Mazda CX-30 does it more comfortably with more front headroom (38.1 inches compared to 36.5), more rear legroom (36.3 inches vs. 33.1), and more front shoulder room (55.6 inches compared to 55.0). Not only that, but the 2020 CX-30 offers more maximum cargo space than the 2020 Lexus UX: 45.2 cubic feet compared to 21.7.
