2019 Mazda CX-3

January 11th, 2020 by

The Mazda CX-3 is the go-to choice for many consumers looking for a subcompact crossover and it doesn’t look like this is going to change with the 2019 model. For the 2019 model year, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 has undergone some subtle changes that have made this family-friendly vehicle even better.

Powertrain & Performance

The 2019 CX-3 comes with a single engine option — a SKYACTIV®-G 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Paired to a SKYACTIV®-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift and Sport mode, this powertrain manages to put out 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque.

No matter the trim you choose, you can opt for either front-wheel drive or Mazda’s i-ACTIV AWD®. This crossover’s EPA-estimated fuel-efficiency rating will change depending on the drivetrain you choose. For the front-wheel-drive CX-3, this rating comes in at 29 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, while the all-wheel-drive model gets 27 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.*

Interior & Exterior Design

The interior of the new CX-3 model is not only quieter than its predecessor, but it also has been reconfigured so the driver can have the best driving experience possible. Simple lines and a modern layout make up the dashboard’s sophisticated design, while the seating makes sure each of the five passengers stays comfortable even on long-haul trips. When it comes to cargo space, this crossover doesn’t scrimp with up to 44.5 cubic feet of storage space when the rear seats are folded down.

The 2019 CX-3 continues the crossover’s stylish legacy, building more on the Mazda KODO design philosophy. This means that there are a few subtle changes to this model’s exterior, which make it more aesthetically pleasing than before. A new taillight design gives the crossover a more modern feel, while the redesigned grille adds a touch of sophistication to this practical family car. Even the body lines give the silhouette a sense of movement, even when the CX-3 is standing still, making this vehicle a stand out in its segment.
